Trust Precision Engineering were looking to upgrade their measurement machines to the latest technology to improve their overall inspection process, and made contact with OGP UK to explore their multi-sensor measurement solutions.

The Solution:
Trust Precision Engineering upgraded their OGP multi-sensor metrology machine from a ZIP Lite machine to a CNC 200, utilising the ZONE3 software, supplied by OGP UK to allow them to guarantee accurate, reliable and consistent quality of their components, using the most advanced multi-sensor technology.
The CNC 200 is a multi-sensor metrology machine is a unique, high-capacity benchtop multi-sensor measurement system. ZONE3 metrology software uses CAD models and other innovative features to automatically and effortlessly programme measurement routines offline. The software integrates all sensors and deployment mechanisms ready to use in any order, letting you choose the best measurement tool for every feature of the part.
“We are measuring more accurately and consistently. Having the ZONE3 software means that without tying up a measurement machine, we can programme the inspection process on the PC in preparation for production,” said Stephen.

“Before we’ve even begun production, we have our measurement and inspection process in place by programming offline. You can take multiple measurement points without tying up another machine. Without having the ZONE3 software and the OGP CNC 200, I don’t know how we would measure parts correctly.”
