The TeleStar laser is co-axial with system video measurement optics. Featuring a long working distance and the option of a 0.45X lens with a distance of 200mm. As well as ability to present high resolution surface contours for SmartScope systems, this innovative laser is exclusive to the OGP VANTAGE family of metrology systems.

The laser works by using an interferometric range sensor which converts the light from the reflected beam into positioning data as it passes across the contours of a part. This technology yields a high measurement resolution of between 0.1 µm and 1.0 µm. Due to its high levels of accuracy the TeleStar Plus TTL laser is ideal in the collection of data for a wide range of part surfaces, from diffuse to ‘light scattering’ surfaces, and even translucent surfaces.

This sensor offers truly unparalleled performance with features such as video imaging of the part with complete XY travel capability and laser route mapping. Reaching surface features which are often inaccessible using other measurement methods through utilisation of mirror options, and with less risk of contacting the part or fixture during the scanning process.

In addition the TeleStar TTL laser is able to scan surfaces with up to a 75 degree angle of incidence.
