OGP Fusion

The Fusion is OGP’s most advanced, versatile and capable multi-sensor metrology system ever when it comes to the accurate, non-contact measurement of even the most complex parts.

It combines a large field-of-view optical system with available touch probe, laser and micro sensors to form a uniquely productive quality control solution.

An exclusive feature extraction capability can instantly process and identify all features and dimensions within the scene, with no need for a pre-programmed measurement routine.

Automatic identification allows any previously programmed part – or multiple parts – to be placed anywhere on the stage, even without fixturing, for Fusion to identify and inspect.

Fusion systems are innovative, high-speed, 3D multi-sensor measurement systems that combine an exceptional large field-of-view (LFOV) optical system with multi-sensor flexibility, to form a uniquely productive metrology system family.

The heart of Fusion systems capability lies in the telecentric large field-of-view optics. Fusion offers dual optical magnifications: low with 100 mm viewing area and high for small feature measurements and autofocus — each telecentric for image accuracy throughout the depth of field. Advanced design principles and FOV non-linear calibration allow Fusion systems to measure many features in a Large FOV with the same accuracy as a small FOV on a traditional video measurement system. Large field optics allow a wide area to be imaged with high accuracy, while feature extraction can instantly process and identify all features and dimensions within the scene with no need for a pre-programmed measurement routine.

OGP Fusion Product Specifications

All Fusion models are equipped with ZONE3 premium CAD-based 3D metrology software, which features a clear, simple user interface alongside a kinematic model that simulates the machine, part, fixtures and measuring sensor, updated in real time.

Productivity maximising tools, integrated GD&T functionality and visual validation of measurement intent offer speed and power to the measurement process.

Features include:

  • Dual optical paths for instant switching between large field and high zoom imaging
  • Available touch trigger probe, SP25 continuous contact scanning probe and patented on-axis TeleStar Plus interferometric through-the-lens laser
  • Available micro-probes to measure fragile, deformable or extremely small part features
  • Select sensors may be mounted to the patented RDS rotational deployment mechanism, which places sensors precisely on the optical centerline so that full stage travel is accessible for measurement
